For this set of gesture drawings, I did 3 sets of gesture from 3 different video references. The gestures contain 1, 2 and 5-minute drawings all done in pencil. For this set of gestures, I decide to use a quicker and bold line to create the pose and more basic shapes so I get the form down quicker. I made sure to do one motion rather than a bunch of motions for the lines so that I don’t spend so much time doing the line of action and so forth and instead get though done with a quick simple line.

I think that overall the drawings went pretty well. The sketch of the poses was pretty nice and not really rough. you can clearly tell the pose and the pose are fully drawing and shaped were can properly. I’ve also managed to effectively use negative space at points to create to display spacing between parts in the pose to help emphasise form within the poses. I do wish that I could have managed to finish off the shaping of the 5min pose in the 3rd set of gestures to get a nice form to it. Some poses could have been a lot more proportionate as well like the 3rd 1min pose in the 2nd gesture drawing as it looks off and offsets the pose and just doesn’t quite capture the positioning correctly. Overall though it wasn’t too bad. it captures the pose well and I hope that with a bit more quickness and skill I’ll be able to get a nicer form for the 5 minute poses capturing the body shapes nicely and it becomes more proportionate. Overall in all the pose, the big issue that I found was that I typically got the proportion wrongs in the shorter poses like the 1-minute poses I typically got the legs to body proportions wrong. I did get some of the legs wrong in the 2 min poses as well. there are improvements and I manage to capture the poses and there quite clear.
