This is a Bouncing Ball I’ve developed displaying squash and stretch of the ball bouncing. What I did here was drawing frame by frame a ball bouncing on the floor. I stretched the ball when it was in the air and squashed it when it impacted into the ground.
For this animation, I thought that it went pretty well. The animation of the bouncing ball looks good. The ball holds squash and stretches within it and has varying frames creating the illusion of the ball speeding up when falling and bouncing by the varying frames and also the illusion of the material of the ball. The bounce that I did as well I think that I think that creat more illusion of the weight of the ball as well. When it comes to improvements or changes I do believe that I could make the ball bounce consistently at the same height to be able to make it loopable or at least kept the bouncing ball straight. I do think that I could have possibly added more stretch to improve it.
Overall I think that this ball has done well. It’s smooth and uses quite a few animation techniques such as Squash and stretch, Arcs, slow-in and out and was done straight ahead and used solid drawing. I could have made it loopable by making the ball bounce off the side and then it falls from the top so it doesn’t just seem like the ball doesn’t just disappear at the end of the gif.
