Gesture Drawings 2

here I proceeded to draw 6 gesture drawings. I did 3 1 minutes drawing, 2 2 minute drawings and 1 5 minute drawing. These set of gesture drawings I did was done using blue colouring pencils. Here I use construction techniques such as the line of action, basic shapes and drawing with force to create the persons poses.

The first 3 1 minute poses were pretty simply create using the line of action and simple stick figure structure to depict the pose. For the third drawing, the person was sat down and I wish I drew the object to help make more sense to the pose. I do wish that I could have added basic shapes of the poses to make more sense of them.

When it came onto doing the 2 2 minute poses the shape and poses had more depth and form to them. Pose number 2 is a lot more accurate and has a lot more descriptive motion to it and shows the positioning of the person’s hands and body. The first 2-minute pose was quite simplistic and was missing a hand and need better construction. I do wish that I for the second pose I could have drawn the object better and shoulder width is large.

for the 5 minute pose, I think this is quite an improvement. There are good construction and the relatively accurate proportions I do think that I could have drawn the legs a little better though. The drawing gives an accurate representation of the pose and gives details of face positioning and some hand positioning as well as do more detailed shapes. I think this is a relatively a good improvement of being able to draw a relatively detailed form quickly even though it could do with some work to draw a proper and correct outline.

I think that overall that the poses and so forth are relatively good, but definitely could do with some improvements, but has helped me drawing different poses quicker. Compared to the other lot of gesture drawing that I’ve done I do believe that the 1 and 2 minutes were more lacklustre in comparisons, yet the line art was more accurate in proportion wise.
